Situated between 44.41' and 44.51' north latitude, lies the island of Rab, in the middle of the Gulf of Kvarner, along with dozens of other Croatian islands. Like the Croatian coast, this 22-kilometre long and 11-kilometre wide island extends northwest - southeast and is separated from the mainland by the Velebit Channel.
Mundanije is the only village on the island that has no direct access to the sea, but offers unspoilt nature and a sense of tranquillity.
Mundanije has a central location (2 km to Rab, 9 km to Loparo). Its location makes it perfect for nature lovers and active tourists. Via a road you can reach the island top Kamenjak and enjoy the view of the whole island.
On the holiday of St. Mathew on 21 September you can taste the local products and enjoy an abundance of cultural and entertaining events that take place all over Mundanije.
