Forest on 24,6 ha in Bucharest Pitesti - RO

This forest on 24.6 hectares is situated next to the A1 Bucharest - Pitesti highway and the Petrom petrol station. The highway provides direct access to the village of Mavrodolu (500 m). The nearest electricity facilities are 300 m from the forest.

The wood in the forest consists mainly of hardwood (pruned oak) of 70-75 years old and with a total wood mass of 5000 cubic meters. The wood mass value is estimated at €250,000 - €300,000, depending on the annual market price for firewood.

The forest was first owned 13 years ago and has had a security contract ever since. Currently, the security and forestry services are free of charge (for areas under 30 ha). There has been no logging in the forest in the last 4 years, and in the last 11 years only rehabilitation work has been carried out.
