Het dorp Granichar ligt in het zuidwesten van de gemeente Sredets, in een bergachtig gebied - 2,5 km van de Turkse grens. Het dorp ligt op ongeveer 340-350 m boven de zeespiegel. Naburige dorpen zijn: in het oosten - het dorp Evrenozovo; in het westen - het dorp Belevren en het dorp Kirovo; in het noorden - het dorp Trakiytsi en het dorp Bliznak.

Reliëf

Het reliëf is ruw, maar begaanbaar. Het hoogste punt is Batak Cheshme piek (508 m).

Klimaat

Het klimaat van het dorp is mediterraan overgangsklimaat. De gemiddelde jaarlijkse temperatuur is ongeveer 22 graden. De lucht in het gebied van het dorp is schoon en fris.

Water

De waterbronnen van het dorp zijn de rivieren Belevrenska en Nasha Reka, evenals de rivieren Hadji Dere, Kyomurluka, Kozeli Bunar, Kulna Bunar, Chardak Bairski Dol, Kostov Dol en Piyachkin Dol. Al deze stromen stromen in de Fakiyska rivier (genoemd naar het dorp Fakiya, niet ver van het dorp Granichar).
