Serra da Arrábida
The Arrabida Natural Park is a biogenetic reserve of 10 800 ha located on the north bank of the Sado estuary, in Sierra of Arrábida, located in Setúbal district, southwest of Portugal. The territory is classified as Special Interest Site of Nature Conservation - Corine biotope. The Arrábida Natural Park created by Decree 622/76 aims to protect the geological resources, flora, fauna as well as landscapes, historic and cultural testimonies. The flora and the marine fauna are protected by an adjacent Marine zone: the natural reserve of the Sado estuary.
