Mexilhoeira Grande: Location and surroundings of this property
The parish of Mexilhoeira Grande, in the municipality of Portimão, is a quiet rural area, north of the EN125, where the natural landscape is breathtaking.
It is just 7 km from the famous PENINA golf course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton, 4 km from MORGADO Golf Resort, 10 km from the vibrant city of Portimão, traditionally a center of shipbuilding, sardine fishing and fish processing , the second largest in the Algarve and the largest in the West and 15 km from Lagos, the charming city of discoveries.
Praia da Rocha is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Algarve, opposite the city of Portimão. It offers a vast expanse of immaculate golden sand (1.5 km), waters of crystalline purity that reflect a myriad of shades of blue, surrounded by an idyllic landscape, with the capricious rocks that give it its name.
Also to mention the picturesque fishing village of Alvor, 12 km from the house, with its typical bars and restaurants, the production of oysters, the parachutists who jump from the local airfield and the lovers of the lagoon, who claim Alvor, in addition to the stunning views over the port and river at sunset, having been tailor-made by nature to be the perfect place for KiteSurf and Europe's final destination for other water sports.
The nearby Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA), launched in 2008, in addition to a track available 24/7, offers a complete service platform that covers all car and motorcycle tests, but no noise from the circuit is heard in this house.
It is just 50 minutes from Faro airport via the AE A22, thus facilitating access to “Lar” when they land in the Algarve sun.
